Before turning to writing, Rachel Amphlett played guitar in bands, worked as a TV and film extra, dabbled in radio as a presenter and freelance producer for the BBC, and worked in publishing as a sub-editor and editorial assistant.

Alison Campbell is an actress based in Bristol, U.K. She has lent her voice to 50+ audiobooks, cartoons, documentaries and dramas. She can be found treading the boards across the country, in everything from Shakespeare to hip hop kids adventures. If you’ve been following along with this series you’ll know that Amphlett is excellent at providing suspense that makes you wish you knew the ending of this novel immediately. Kay Hunter is a great detective who lets her intuition and smarts take her to the killer and uncover secrets of her past. I enjoyed the latest installment and truly hope this series continues as I always have a blast reading these works by Amphlett! 5/5 stars.

Narration wise Campbell has been with this series since the get go and I’m glad she has improved as the series has book by book. I love her inflections and pacing throughout and think it’s best for a long series to keep the same narrator as we already know all the little nuances of their voices for each character. I would give the narration 5/5 stars as well.
