Chris does another great job with book 2! We get some more answers in the series as a whole and learn more about the villain and the main character. I’m a big fan of mysteries and creepy things and have had a bunch of fun listening to how this world expands. Patchell is a wonderful author that kept my interest throughout and I look forward to future works in this series. I’ve got some answers but I need more! 5/5!

The audio is good as well. Although in some instances it was a tad rocky. I enjoyed both narrators, I will say that some areas they seemed to take turns overpowering each other. But I’m general both do a great job of being consistent with characters and accents. Good work Corey & Lisa! 4/5!
I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Chris Patchell. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.
Dream Cast

Chris Patchell’s Picks
  • Seth Crawford – Mark Ruffalo because although he’s good looking, he’s not classically handsome. He’s intelligent and brooding, much like Seth.
  • Marissa Rooney – Kate Hudson because she’s got a brittle, vulnerable edge that mirrors Marissa’s insecurities.
  • Drew Matthews (From In the Dark) – Daniel Radcliffe. I know, it’s not an obvious choice, but I think that Daniel has the ability to play a darker, more nuanced character. And it’s so anti-Harry Potter.
  • Xander Wilcox (From Dark Harvest) – One of my all-time favorite actors, Edward Norton, because plays brilliant and flawed characters soooo well.
