Hey Guys! Today I am reviewing War of the Worlds by Mark Gardner and John J Rust. Narrated by Samuel E. Hoke III.

First on the performance by Samuel Hoke. I think he did a wonderful job narrating. The story just seemed to flow much better with his voice. His strong voice certainly brought up the story another notch! I would give him a 5/5 for his performance.

Now for the story. I really enjoyed the action scenes. They were well thought out and flowed good. The premise is also intriguing and overall I enjoyed my time listening in. There was something a little off with the story though, that just made it hard for me to get into it completely. I’m not entirely sure what it was, but some things just didn’t seem to flow as nicely and didn’t get me sucked in as I wish I could have been. I’d give the story a 4/5.

Overall I enjoyed the book and finished it, so I will give it a 4/5.
