Hey Guys! It’s My Thrill Club April! In this box I received:

Item #1: Plea of Insanity by Jilliane Hoffman. Rated 3.82 stars out of 5 on GoodReads. Julia is a prosecutor in the case against David Marquette who killed his wife and three children. He pleads not guilty by insanity, but she suspects it’s a rouse and that he has killed others in cases that went unsolved. She must travel within herself to her past so that she is able to capture one of the most prolific serial killers we’ve seen to date. Sounds really gripping! I can’t wait to start on it!

Item #2: Your House is on Fire, Your Children all Gone by Stefan Kiesbye. Rated 3.29 stars out of 5 on GoodReads. The village of Hemmersmoor is untouched by time. The village is composed of the manor’s occupants who despise the villagers, the pub full of people talking of the revenant, and an old mill no one mentions. Four friends grow up and have their innocence taken away by the village’s darkest secrets. It is being compared to Stephen King’s Children of the Corn. So hopefully it is just as eery and creepy!

Item #3: The Blumhouse Book of Nightmares: The Haunted City by Jason Blum (editor). Rated 3.46 stars out of 5 on GoodReads. This book is composed of authors, screenwriters, and filmmakers who envisioned a city full of horror. So it’s a collection of works with one theme and hopefully I shall enjoy the majority of the stories!

Item #4: The Amityville Horror DVD. 6/10 IMDB. 24% Rotten Tomatoes. 33% Metacritic. When George and Kathy find a new house in Amityville, NY they think their fortune is too good to be true. After they move in they find out the former tenant murdered his family after being possessed by the devil. The couple find a priest to help them cleanse their home, believing it to now be haunted. Ghost and demon movies always scare me the most. Even if the scores from rotten tomatoes is not favorable I’m sure I’ll be kept wide awake after I watch this film!
