This month’s theme is Mystery & Mischief!
Item #1: Funko Mystery Mini. I got a Game of Thrones Character. Unsure of who he is. Looks like Boromir from Lord of the Rings though lol.
Item #2: Night Circus Pillow Case designed by Risa Rodil. It reads: The finest of pleasures are always the unexpected ones. It was really cute, so I bought a pillow for it and now it rests on my couch.
Item #3: Come Back Yesterday candle by Meraki Candles. The author named it and it was made exclusively for the book of the month. It kind of reminds me of circus. Not my favorite scent. It’s really sweet but also popcorny…
Item #4: How to Think Like Sherlock by Daniel Smith. Rating is 2.99 stars on GoodReads. It is packed full of case studies, tests and examples from the original novels.
Topics covered include:
* Mind Palaces
* Non-verbal tells
* Lie detection
* Intuition
* Concentration
* Listening
* Alertness
* Relaxation
* Logic
* Speed reading
* People watching
* Information shifting
Definitely don’t get for anyone that isn’t a fan of Sherlock since this is a case book. But I love him so I’m excited!
Item #5: Rose Necklace by Oh Panda Eyes. It ties in with the book so I don’t know the significance yet, but it looks cute!
Item #6: Alice in Wonderland Bookmark by Read at Midnight. Always a fan of cute bookmarks!
Items #7-11: Caraval by Stephanie Garber. The good thing about FairyLoot is that you will get all the UK editions of books. This to me looks wayyyyyy prettier than the US version. I also got a signed bookplate, author letter, bookmark, and post card that go with the book. 4.07 star rating from GoodReads. Scarlett and her sister Tella have never left the island that they live on with their powerful father. Scarlett’s father has arranged a marriage for her, and she believes her dreams of seeing the once a year show (Caraval) are over forever. Tella gets a sailor to help smuggle them to the Caraval, but as soon as they get there Tella is kidnapped by the mastermind Legend. Scarlett must find Tella at the end of the 5th night or the game may become all too real. The description of this book sounds amazing! I can’t wait to get started on it. From what other people said about the book I thought it was just about a carnival for some reason, not a mystery!!
