Hey guys! I’m here to unbox the FairyLoot October book box!! This is a box based out of Britain. It ships worldwide and is a YA Fantasy subscription box. This month’s theme was Steampunk Rebellion. I’m a big fan of fairies, so that’s what got me interested in the box in the first place since their logo is a cute fairy 🙂 It may sound silly to buy something by how cute the exterior looks, but this box definitely didn’t disappoint! So I suppose it worked in my case haha.

Item #1: A divergent candle by Meraki Candles. The faction I got was Amity. I haven’t read the series so I don’t know what it means. So after a quick google search I’ve learned this faction sounds basically like Wiccans. As someone who’s very interested in the Wiccan culture I feel like this random candle fits me ❤ Amity farms the land and believes in nature spirits. They dislike war and have good relations with the other factions, housing refugees from each from time to time. Sounds like me haha. Apparently people can get up to six different candles, so I’m happy to get the one that fits me pretty well! Smells basically like fall and berries!

Item #2: Clockwork Ring by Cogs & Curiosities. Apparently it contains actual watch parts. How intriguing. I have read the first book in that series, but I don’t remember much. I was also really confused the whole time I read that book. Something about a girl gets sucked into a different world full of sadness that her dad is hiding in their basement through clocks? Idk. I’ll try rereading as I believe it’s by Cassandra Clare and everyone is like in love with her books on booktube. I was really stressed in school around the time I read that book, so perhaps it was me so I’m willing to try again haha.

Item #3: Mechanical Butterfly Necklace. It’s so pretty :))))) Don’t know what it matches, but I’ll figure it out!

Item #4: Tea Towel with the quote: “One must always be careful of books and what is inside of them for words have the power to change us.” Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. Now if you’re like me and don’t know what a tea towel is, it’s apparently a dish towel. Yay British! And yay for google to translate what we don’t understand!! I think this is too beautiful to wash dishes with to be honest. Thinking of hanging it instead.

Item #5: Elias lip balm by Behind the Pages. This lip balm is amazing! I had chapped lips yesterday. I put it on and today they are healed. Like what? It’s made of shea butter, coconut oil, cocoa butter, beeswax, castor oil, vitamin E, cosmetic glitter, and spices. Feels amazing 🙂 Based on Clockwork series.

Item #6: Magnetic Bookmark from Happy Hello Inc themed on the Infernal Devices. Again based on the Clockwork series by Cassandra Clare. I got Will according to some unboxings on youtube. I don’t know who he is lol.

Item #7: Clock Washi Tape. Apparently washi tape is decorative tape for scrapbooking 🙂 Looks pretty cute!!

Item #8: Button based on the book they gave us with the words #press back

Item #9: The FairyLoot bag that is so cute! Looks like the box in tote bag form that the book fits in.

Items #10-11: A note from the author and signed nameplate.

Item #12: Metaltown by Kristen Simmons. Metaltown is a place where everyone works works works. If you fail at work you don’t get paid, even if you did most of the work. Don’t be late or you get fired. Everyone works in factories and they’re poor. The three main characters are Lena, Ty, and Colin. Colin and Ty work on the floor, Lena is the daughter of the factory owner. She believes she needs to be ruthless until she meets Colin. So some dystopia with romance. I’ll let ya know what I think when I read it!
